Our Commitment to You

At Garage & Motion, we stand behind every product we sell. Our return policy is designed to be fair, transparent, and straightforward β€” so you can shop with confidence. Please read the following carefully to understand your options and responsibilities.

Orders may be canceled only before processing or shipment begins. Once an order has been processed, fulfilled, or shipped, it cannot be canceled and will be handled under our return policy, if eligible. Custom, special-order, made-to-order, and freight items are non-cancelable once processing starts.

Return Window & General Conditions

Returns are accepted within 30 days of the confirmed delivery date for most brands (see non-returnable items below). To qualify for a return:

  • Items must be in original, sealed packaging with all UPC codes, barcodes, and packaging intact
  • Items must be in original condition β€” any damage inflicted by the customer will result in the return being declined
  • A valid RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) must be requested before shipping anything back

Restocking Fees

  • Unopened & unused item: 30% restocking fee
  • Opened and/or used item: 50% restocking fee
  • Buyer's remorse returns: Customer is responsible for all return freight charges

Damaged or Defective Items

If your order arrives damaged, please act promptly:

  • Obvious shipping damage upon delivery: Refuse the shipment. It will be returned to the manufacturer and a replacement or credit will be arranged (credits cannot be guaranteed β€” each case is handled individually).
  • Damage discovered after delivery: Contact us within 2 business days of delivery at 866-791-9195 or support@garageandmotion.com. An RMA will be issued with return shipping instructions.
  • Damaged items are replaced with the same product originally ordered. We cannot guarantee monetary reimbursement for damaged products.
  • Proof of damage is required β€” please provide photos and part numbers of any damaged, dented, or broken components.

⚠️ Important: Do NOT return any item without first obtaining an RMA and return shipping instructions. Returns sent without an RMA will not be refunded. Do NOT ship returns to our corporate headquarters β€” certain items must be returned to specific locations.

Non-Returnable Items

The following products cannot be returned once opened:

  • GM-AL Smith Machines & Fitness Equipment β€” due to their size and weight, these items are non-returnable once opened. Replacement parts will be provided for any damaged components received.
  • Parts & components β€” no returns are accepted on any parts, whether purchased, gifted, or provided under warranty. Do not ship parts back to us as refunds will not be issued.

If you insist on returning a non-returnable item, the return will be classified as buyer's remorse. You will be responsible for all return shipping costs and applicable restocking fees.

Color & Appearance Disclaimer

Garage & Motion cannot guarantee color-matching, finish-matching, or any other exterior decorative element. Product images and descriptions are provided by manufacturers and distributors and may not perfectly represent the final product. Items returned due to appearance issues are subject to standard restocking fees (30% unopened / 50% opened). Any appearance concerns should be directed to the product manufacturer.

Items Not Returned Within 30 Days

Items not returned or exchanged within the 30-day return window will be handled directly by the supplier. Garage & Motion cannot intervene in returns outside this timeframe.
